You will find them in UK, russia, USA, china (We may add Lappeenranta to that). We are just too few, too narrow minded and too shy.

What comes to academic festivities - we seem to stick to the animal house phase. Yeah - I liked John Belushi too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17011369.post-60508684891756423172007-03-10T16:33:00.000+02:002007-03-10T16:33:00.000+02:00Purcell used to be little known and just from dry ...Purcell used to be little known and just from dry books or from Britten's well-meaning but somewhat dull orchestral piece (eg used as the signature tune for Nordic music quiz Kontrapunkt). Since 1980's and the early music renaissance this has been changed and we can now fully appreciate the poet's enthusiasm for Purcel, who is among the greatest musical geniuses of all times (known). I'd like to recommend the Complete Purcell -record series by King's Consort (on Hyperion label). Any of the discs is a treat; those with either James Bowman or Michael Chance is a marvel; and those featuring them both are gems.Rienzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04008549123922444549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17011369.post-32233860002053218372007-03-10T13:59:00.000+02:002007-03-10T13:59:00.000+02:00Blogin hallinnoija on poistanut tämän kommentin.Rienzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04008549123922444549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17011369.post-33387280262889965132007-03-10T13:55:00.000+02:002007-03-10T13:55:00.000+02:00Siispä kantsis muuttaa Loviisan piirustuksia siten...Siispä kantsis muuttaa Loviisan piirustuksia siten, että saadaan ajanoloon lyijystä kultaa, jolla voidaan maksaa kaikenlaista.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17011369.post-88383428364784299272007-03-10T13:43:00.000+02:002007-03-10T13:43:00.000+02:00Transmutation of lead into gold isn't just theoret...Transmutation of lead into gold isn't just theoretically possible - it has been achieved! There are reports that Glenn Seaborg, 1951 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, succeeded in transmuting a minute quantity of lead (possibly en route from bismuth, in 1980) into gold. There is an earlier report (1972) in which Soviet physicists at a nuclear research facility near Lake Baikal in Siberia accidentally discovered a reaction for turning lead into gold when they found the lead shielding of an experimental reactor had changed to gold.

http://chemistry.about.com/cs/generalchemistry/a/aa050601a.htmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17011369.post-91722521210155777462007-03-10T10:31:00.000+02:002007-03-10T10:31:00.000+02:00"How lucky we are to have people...to scatter our ..."How lucky we are to have people...to scatter our wild fantasies in the four winds."

Now - you must never do that. Life is more fun with them. New explanations are just new fantasies. Better keep them both.

I have to disagree in the extro/introvert thing too. people do change and their situations vary. For a young arrogant besserwisser introvert - that may be a tough one though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
